Film & fashion shoots at Somerleyton
Somerleyton – both the hall itself and the grounds - has played host to a number of film and fashion events over the years, most notably The Lost Prince (Stephen Poliakoff 2003). This featured leading actors Miranda Richardson, Bill Nighy and Michael Gambon.
Those with longer memories might recall an episode of Tales of the Unexpected which starred Joan Collins – this was also filmed at Somerleyton.
More recently the hall has been used for fashion shoots for Dazed & Confuzed, The Mail on Sunday, Oliver Brown Couture and Elegance magazine. It was recently used a location by the BBC for the Antiques Road Show and by Films East in Malice in Wonderland.
Every production and fashion shoot is different and Somerleyton as an estate has a rich and diverse portfolio of locations in addition to the hall and gardens.
Up to 17 guests can be accommodated during the shoot or filming period and if necessary more accommodation can be found at Fritton House our boutique hotel or our lakeside lodges, both of which are at Fritton Lake on the other side of the estate.
