Somerleyton is one of Britain’s great family-owned estates.

Spread over 5,000 acres near the East Anglian coast where Suffolk and Norfolk converge, Somerleyton is the seat of the Crossley family who run it as a thriving, multi-faceted enterprise.

Its centerpiece is Somerleyton Hall, a stunning Jacobean manor house built by Sir John Wentworth which is the home of Hugh and Lara Crossley, the current owners. It is surrounded by landscaped gardens which in turn are enclosed by several square miles of well-kept farmland and woodland, all ensuring maximum privacy for those in the hall.

Hugh and Lara have thrown open the doors of their ancestral home and are now welcoming a wide variety of groups who wish to hire it for private use.

Somerleyton is available for weddings, private house parties , film and fashion shoots, holiday groups groups and corporate events, all of which are given the warmest of welcomes.

The estate and the surrounding countryside boast a huge variety of activities and diverse locations to choose from.

The hall itself can sleep 17, though there is accommodation for many more at its luxury lakeside lodges or boutique hotel at Fritton Lake, both of which are on the other side of the estate.
